Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has halted all trading activity for 30 minutes during Sunday’s session for the first time since November 2016.
This decision was taken following the drop of 5% in the EGX100 Index, the stock market announced on Sunday.
The EGX noted that the trading activity will resume at 13:12 Cairo time.
During Sunday’s mid-session, the indices of the EGX declined amid strong selling transactions by Egyptian investors against purchasing deals by Arab and foreign Egyptian investors.
